Nếu 20 năm trước, album S&M (1999) là một cú nổ lớn định nghĩa lại khái niệm Symphonic Metal, thì S&M2 (2020) là lời khẳng định đẳng cấp trường tồn của Metallica. Được ghi hình trong hai đêm cháy vé tại nhà thi đấu Chase Center mới toanh ở San Francisco, đây không chỉ là một buổi hòa nhạc, mà là một bữa tiệc âm thanh và ánh sáng choáng ngợp.

1. Bối cảnh & Quy mô​

Sự kiện này đánh dấu sự tái hợp của Metallica với dàn nhạc San Francisco Symphony (SFS) dưới sự chỉ huy của huyền thoại Michael Tilson Thomas và nhạc trưởng Edwin Outwater. Sân khấu được thiết kế hình tròn xoay 360 độ, tạo ra sự kết nối không giới hạn giữa ban nhạc, dàn nhạc giao hưởng và khán giả.
